Tia Camila's first experience living outside Brazil was in 1997 in South Africa as a Rotarian exchange student and while studying in a Jewish school she got involved in working with street children in Africa. When she returned to Brazil she decided to study Travel and Tourism, as she had travelled the world and lived in many different countries in Europe, Asia, Oceania and South America.
Whilst in Brazil she participated in a project run by Cursilho de Jovens helping children with AIDS. After concluding her university studies she worked on cruise ships where she met her husband and consequently moved to the UK in 2012. Tia Camila now have two beautiful children and raising them as bilinguals is a real challenge. She hopes that the Kids Club we will be able to support you all in this beautiful journey that is Portuguese as a Heritage Language.

Tia Tati's first experience in the UK was 1994 as part of a school exchange programme. She's been living in the UK since 2003 and successfully ran the ABC Dance School for over a decade, which since 2019 has given place to the Brazilian Cultural Centre. She is one of the biggest ambassadors for Brazilian culture and art regionally and has been recognized by the Arts Council England for her artistic accomplishment a few times.
When Tati lived in Brazil she taught Brazilian kids, English as Foreign Language, and adults from all over the world, Portuguese as a Foreign Language. She also taught disadvantage kids from the local 'favela' English as a Foreign Language and volunteered for the local ONG.
She has attended Portuguese as a Heritage Language course twice this year to ensure her skills are always up-to-date.
